ALMAZ is the long awaited new album from master Egyptian percussionist Reda Darwish, produced by Jef Stott. The pair of artists have been working together since Jef’s release “Funky Nawari” from 2004 and Reda has appeared on many of Jef’s releases including Saracen and Arcana. The opening track Yaa Halla was developed with Reda and guest musician Khader Keileh who provided Arabic string and mizmar lines for the track as well as Arabic percussion loops throughout the album.
