ABOUT THIS RELEASE

Release Date: November 8, 2018

Tone and Manor is a new Label/Artist Collective founded by Thomas Wilson aka Sweatson Klank. In 2015 Wilson began teaching music production at Point Blank Music Academy in Los Angeles.
The Label was born out of a desire to mentor and help young music producers/students get their music out and be heard. With a focus on young upcoming talent, we are excited to share these gems with you.

“All Over The Place” is a two part celebratory compilation meant to introduce the world to the label. A sample platter of whats to come from the label, it features a wide range of styles from upcoming artists whom the label plans to release EP’s and Full Lengths by in the future.

All Over The Place” Vol. 2 begins with “Cant Quit You” a stirring Future R&B track by upcoming Singer/Songwriter Lara Wilson. With production from Holly NuRock and Sweatson Klank, the singer recounts a forbidden relationship of co-dependance over a haunting yet banging ‘throw your hands up’ type beat that sits right along side artists like Jessie Reyez and Sabrina Claudio

Damon Steele who has been steadily creating a buzz for himself in the Funky House Scene this year with releases on Puzl Records and Ramp Recordings gives us “Indigo” a superb House groove dripping with funk and good vibes. The feel good track will definitely be a favorite of dj’s and dance floors.

On “Café Tuchi”, 21 year old Los Angeles native Iridesent, delivers the perfect instrumental Hip Hop track full of swing and swagger, yet somehow still sitting in a melodic zone of its own. The hypnotic swing of this beat goes hard, reminding us of the early Los Angeles Beat scene. Look for this kid to make some big noise in 2019.

New comer Zoya Prousline collaborates with Sweatson Klank on “4PM”, a track that is perhaps one of our favorites on the compilation. A jazzy low swung hip hop track lays the ground work for the singers’ smoky, tremulous and slightly Nico (Velvet Underground)  like voice and delivery. You can almost hear the sound of palm trees swaying in the wind under a hazy Los Angeles sky on one of those unbearably hot summer nights.  A dreamy track that after a couple of listens, hooks you in.

Other highlights include Travis Rogers – “Pattern Recognition”, a fantastic driving and moody number that would have sat perfectly on the Cliff Martinez soundtrack to the film Drive

Váne delivers another incredibly ethereal masterpiece of downtempo goodness on “Special K”. The artist will release his debut full length on Tone & Manor in 2019 and we are more than excited to have him on the roster!

Tone & Manor is excited to share this offering of songs with you and we hope you enjoy discovering the talent of these new artists as much as we have. This is just the beginning.
